Description: Transcript:TREGARON. - On the 22nd inst., an inquest was held before W. Lloyd, Esq., Coroner, at the Talbot Inn, Tregaron, on the body of a child named John Williams, aged two years, son of Irish tramps. It appeared that on the 21st, the mother and the deceased arrived in the town, and sat under the lee of a heap of turf to shelter, as it was a stormy day. The poor woman remained in her cold refuge for about ten minutes, when the little sufferer expired in her arms, having been ill a few days. As soon as the circumstance became known, Mr. E. Davies, engraver, took the poor woman to his house, and gave her some tea, till the arrival of the relieving officer, who had them conveyed to a lodging house. The jury returned a verdict of Died a natural death."
