Transcript:
Mr Humphreys (Messrs Griffith Jones and Co.) applied on behalf of Mr Bluck, of Borth, for a transfer of the licence of the Plough Inn, Mill-street. The house had been closed for some time owing to the last tenant having closed it and the license had therefore lapsed. Mr Philip Williams opposed the application on the ground that there was a public-house next door but one, and there was a Temperance House at the corner of Mill-street. Richard Jones, the landlord of the Plough Inn, said that Catherine Evans formerly occupied the house under Mr Roberts, the Brewery, who had given him notice to quit, and the tenancy had now expired. The license was granted.
