Description: Transcript:CURIOUS ACCIDENT.-There is now to be seen at the Monachty Arms in this town a fine specimen of a conger eel, which was captured on the beach on Wednesday morning by Mr D. Lewis, of Lampeter. The fish seemed to be gasping and in great pain when first seen, and was soon dispatched. Curious to relate however, upon examining the mouth of the fish, the tail of another fish was observed in it, and a fine sewin, about three pounds in weight, was extracted. It is surmised that the eel was so voracious as to swallow a sewin, which turned out to be large enough to choke him.
