CARDIGANSHIRE LAMPETER SQUADRON. The Lampeter Squadron, which was known as D Squadron, is now designated B Squadron and is stationed at Hereford, where it will remain for some months. The following signed for active service :-Sergeant-Major James Morgan, Fountain Inn; Privates D. Robert Jones, Bryngeler; E. Stephens, Olwen; E. W. George, L. and P. Bank; J. Davies, Caxton Hall: Gwilym Evans, 24, Bridge- street; W. Norton, Gwargate; A. Lloyd Jones, New- street, and B. M. Williams, Blaentwrch. Sergeant-Major Baldwin, Black Lion Hotel, Lampeter, and Mr. Mitchell, Falcondale Farm, left on Friday morning to join a horse regiment. On the previous night, some hundreds of the townspeople gathered in front of the Black Lion, and sang very effectively several choruses and hymns in honour of Mr. Baldwin, who is very popular in the town. The Mayoress of Lampeter is forming a sewing class in order to make garments for the soldiers and sailors engaged in war, and is warmly supported by a large number of ladies.
