Assault. Morgan Evans, Drovers' Arms, Pen-uwch, Nantcwnlle, innkeeper, was charged by Jane Evans, his wife, with having assaulted her at the Drovers' Arms, on the 21st instant. Mr Joseph Evans, solicitor, Aberystwyth, appeared for the complainant, and Mr Griffith Jones, solicitor, Aberystwyth, for the defendant. A judicial separation order was made, and defendant was ordered to pay 5s per week towards the maintenance of his wife and child, the wife to have the custody of the child. He was also bound over in the sum of £100 to keep the peace for 12 months.
