Elysian Grove. The entertainments at the Grove, twice daily, by Mr. James McKenzie's Royal Dandies, are successful, On Monday evening the Company put on a funny sketch entitled "Stick it, Jerry," which caused roars of laughter. Mr McKenzie played the Office Boy in capital style, and the other parts were well played by the Company. Little Cliff, a wonderful boy comedian, was encored for each song. Miss Queenie Massey was encored for her beautiful ballad, Sunshine of Your Smile." Miss Nell Leslie and Miss Zelda Moritz came in for a big share of applause. Mr Eugene Byron gave coon songs and dances in fine style, and Mr. Jack Ennis was a success with his songs and acrobatic dance. There was also a baby show and other novelties. On Friday night there is to be a "Go as you please'' competition, and Saturday night a beauty show for ladies and also a prize for the lady with the finest head of hair. Next week, commencing Bank Holiday Monday night, a sentimental singing contest; on Tuesday night, a fancy dress ball for children Wednesday, a comic singing contest for ladies for Mrs. Kelly's pig; Thursday night, a baby show Friday night, a barrel contest: and Saturday night a cradle-carrying contest. Dancing is provided for after the entertainment in the Sylvan Palace
