Mary Evans, the Black Lion Inn, Pontrhydfendigaid, was charged with keeping her house open during illegal hours on Good Friday. Defendant said there had been a club at the house on Good Fridays for twenty years. P.C. Pierce said the house was open at 10.30 and at 5.40 on Good Friday. Fined for every offence 5s., and costs.
David Morris, Pensarn, Gwnnws, Rees Williams, Caron, Evan Morris, Sign, and Daniel Jones. Trefy, were charged with being at the Black Lion on Good Friday, during illegal hours. Rees Williams was fined 1s, and costs the others 2s., and costs.
