Richard Jones of the Unicorn Inn v. Sarah Morgan. Mr Atwood appeared for defendant. Plaintiff claimed the sum of 15s. 8d due for spirits, beer, &c., but in examination acknowledged that the greater part of the beer, &c., had been consumed by a Mr Ellis, and then continued, Mrs Morgan drank some in our house, and some in her own house. She also told me if Mr Ellis called for a pint to give it. He used to have several, and I put it down for Mrs Morgan (Bill put in, and letter which was sent to plaintiff by defendant ) Ellis was not always with Mrs Morgan when he had beer. I can't say exactly how much each had. Plaintiff nonsuited.
