Transcript:Demise-On Saturday last, Mr Thomas Griffiths, of the Royal George Hotel, died after a short illness at the age of sixty-seven years. He was widely known having, in addition to farming, carried on an extensive business as cattle and horse dealer. He was born at Bettws Farm, Bettws Bledrws, and farmed Goitre in the same parish and subsequently Llechwedd-deri-issa, in the parish of Llanwnen. About ten years ago he relinquished farming and horse and cattle dealing and took the Royal George Hotel. He leaves eight children, four boys and four girls, namely, Thomas, in Australia; David. in South Africa; Edward, at Portsmouth; William, at Rhayader; Mrs Davies, Star of Wales Aberayron; Mrs Davies, Hackney road, London Mrs Jones, Holloway-road and Mrs Roberts, Greenfield-terrace, Lampeter.
