Notes: The Petty Sessions were the local magistrates courts who had jurisdiction over issuing drink licences. This was often done through special licensing sessions or brewster sessions, and which tended to be held annually at which licences would be renewed (or refused) and new licences issued. The county was split into 11 divisions.
