Inquest report: "Two witnesses were examined, who were the last that saw the deceased on the previous evening. The first saw Mr. Morgans, of the White Lion, Great Dark Gate-street. The deceased had been in his house for some time on the night before, and had taken several glasses of porter. He left about half-past eleven he was a little fresh, but by no means intoxicated."
