in 1869 31 Little Darkgate Street was taken over by William and George Davies (Veg merchants), who moved from Market Street. By 1875 it was a family grocer (D.P. and W Richards).mid-1890s it was Richard Edwards family butcher, then by 1896 it was the 'Bryn House' guest house (although 1901 Census still has head as Richard Edwards, Butcher)
