Description: Transcript:At Llanbadarn, between that place and Penparke, I is a one-storied wooden erection, used as a public house. I Early in the evening the place was surrounded with water. The landlady abandoned her wooden house, probably thinking it would soon be carried out to sea by the flood, and ascended a neighbouring tree where she screamed loudly for assistance. She was eventually rescued from her perilous position, and the foundations of her house resisted the violence of the water.
