Description: Transcript:Charge of Drunkenness whilst in charge of a Horse.- P.C. Thomas Hughes (22), stationed at Blaenporth, charged Morgan Jones, of Cwmdu, near Newcastle Emlyn, a farmer, with the above offence.-The Constable stated that about four p.m. on the 24th November he was on duty in the village of Aberporth and there found defendant in charge of a horse, pulling it along,and also shouting. Defendant was in a drunken state. On his preparing to put the animal to the cart witness prevented him as he was so drunk. He (the defendant) thereupon stayed over night at the Trewern Arms.Defendant, who did not appear, was fined 5s and costs. There was no previous conviction.
