Description: Transcript:CARDIGAN. THE GLANTIVY LODGE OF ODDFELLOWS. On Monday evening the formal opening of the new lodge-room in connection with the above local branch of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows took place. The removal from the old room, at the Sailors' Home Inn, Pendre, to the present commodious room at the Victoria Coffee Tavern, in Priory-street, has been for some time rendered necessary owing to the continual increase in the number of members. The ceremony of opening the lodge-room was performed by Bro. W. Mitchell, town-clerk, an honorary member. The new room was named the Oddfellows-hall. The lodge now consists of over 180 members, with a surplus capital of about £900, the result of twelve years' united efforts on the part of the brethren.
