GOGINAN. ANNIVERSARY The Loyal Druid Lodge, No. 5,357, of the Independent Order of Oddfellows held their anniversary on Wednesday, June 24th. At one p.m. a procession was formed opposite the Druid Inn, headed by the Goginan drum and fife band. The members then marched to church, where an eloquent sermon was preached by the Rev. Mr Davies, the curate of this place. At three p.m. the members sat down to a sumptuous dinner, prepared by Mr P. Nicholls, Druid Inn. P.P.G.M. Dr Rowlands presided. The usual loyal aud patriotic toasts were given and responded to, and the meeting was enlivened with songs by Captain Harvey, Messrs J. Roderick, D. Jenkins, and E. Humphreys and several pieces of music were played in a capital manner by the band. The master of this band is worthy of praise for the way in which he has brought them on. It is only a few months since they formed, and now Goginan can boast of being an excellent band.
