Tregaron is four miles from Llangeitho, four long, but pleasant miles, through leafy lanes. Half way there is a public-house called the "Stags Head." This sign once inspired the poetic souls of two budding bards, and jointly they composed the following englyn
Pen sopyn nid pen bwch
Yw Tŷ Griffith gwybyddwch
A chwrw da yn blysio'r en
Fel hyfen hyfwch.
