Description: Several court cases for drunkenness around Christmas time

Transcript:
Drunk and Riotous.—David Thomas, Taliesin, miner, was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Tre'rddol on the 23rd December.—P.C. Jones proved the case, which, in the absence of the defendant, was adjourned.
Edward Jones, Tre'rddol, miner, was charged by the same officer with being drunk and riotous at the Commercial Inn, Tre'rddol, on the 23rd December. This case was also adjourned.
Lewis Owen, Taliesin, miner, was charged with a similar offence. Adjourned for a month.
Robert Rowlands, Ynysgrugog, was charged with being drunk and fighting near the Commercial Inn, Tre'rddol, on the 26th ult.—Dismissed.—Robert Rowlands was further charged with being drunk on licensed premises—the Halfway Inn, Tre'rddol—on the 26th ult.—He was fined 10s and costs, or 14 days.
John Edwards, Garreg, farm servant, was fined 10s and costs, or 14 days, for being drunk at the Halfway Inn on the 26th December.
