Transcript:UNLICENSED BEER SHOPS.—For a long time past complaints have been made of the injuries done to the licensed trader, in consequence of the numerous illegal beer-shops in Cardigan, and on Thursday se'nnight, the commissioners of the Inland Revenue and Assessed Taxes at a board meeting in Cardigan, convicted Thomas Lewis and John James Williams, in heavy penalties, for selling beer without a license, and expressed their intention to prosecute in every case in which they could obtain evidence.
