County: Ceredigion OS Grid Ref: SN582811 = 52.4094806267, -4.08607541521 Type of place: Village Notes: A small settlement on the south side of the Rheidol, to the south of Aberystwyth. This was where much of the harbour activity took place; where there were lime kilns, a brewery, with malt kiln, the ship building yards and lead ore loading sheds. This might explain the large number of pubs for such a small settlement.
