"LLANDDEWI-BREFI BENEFIT CLUB. — The members of the above Club celebrated their customary anniversary on New Year's Day. Early in the morning the brethren met at the Voelallt Arms Inn, and after parading the village, proceeded to the ancient parish Church, when, after the celebration of Divine Service, the Rev. J. Griffiths, Vicar of Trevilan, preached from Titus, 2nd chap., 11 and 12 verses. The members then returned to the Schoolroom, where an excellent dinner was provided for them, and a pleasant evening passed." Welshman 10 Jan 1851
