Summary: 'Royal Oak' is marked on the 2 inch draft OS map (1820s) for the OS 1 inch map, 1834-1836 on which it also appears, and on the Map of the South West Circuit, 1834, near Gogerddan This may well have been an inn. It is not far from the Gogerddan horse race course, used in the early 19th century.
The building still exists as Royal Oak / Glyn Deri (2018)
