"The Deputy Chief Constable objected to the renewal of the licence of the Neuadd Arms on the ground that it was not required, and that the management had not been satisfactory.-Sergeant Davies, supporting the objection, said he had seen "Jack, the clogger," and others prowling about the house on Sundays and lying in the fields close by. Mrs Hannah Thomas said she could not help the people coming there, but they received no drink. -The Chairman asked whether applicant had previously been cautioned, and a reply in the negative being given, the licence was renewed."
