John Lloyd, deputy chief constable charged William Morgan, Ivy Bush Inn, Tregaron, with having kept open his licensed premises for the sale of intoxicating drink on the 15th ult (Good Friday), during close time. Fined 10s and costs. -The same complainant charged David George, Tregaron, labourer, with unlawfully being on the said premises. Fined 1s. and costs. The defendant caused some amusement in court by stating that he went into the Ivy Bush Inn to borrow a pitch- fork, and stating that he did not get it after all because the police came in but P.C. 19 stated that he had a pint containing beer before him.
