Davies v. Morgan. Walter Davies, draper, Llangybi, sued Mary Morgan, in her personal capacity and as executrix de son tort of Margaret Morgan, Olmarch Arms, for the recovery of £2 8s. for goods supplied. Mr David Lloyd appeared for plaintiff and Mr Lloyd Edwardes for the defendant. -Plaintiff, in his evidence, stated that defendant succeeded her mother in keeping the Olmarch Arms, a house formerly kept by the celebrated Lord Brougham." Defendant stated that the value of her mother's furniture was about £2. It was a double-licensed hotel consisting of one room, for which she paid £1 15s. a year. The goodwill of the house was worth a good deal. His Honour gave judgment for the plaintiff as against the goods of the mother in defendant's hands for £ 1 10s. and if there were no goods such for that amount, for 18s. against the daughter's proper goods.
