DISORDERLY HOUSE. Superintendent Harry Lloyd stated that on Sunday the 20th June last, a complaint was made to him that there were three men drunk in the Wooden house, near Llanbadarn. He would call the wife of one of the men that were there as witness. Jane Lewis, sworn: About 3 o'clock on the morning of the 20th June, I went to the Wooden house in search of my husband. I found him and another man drinking there. I can't say they were drunk. He remained there all night, and came home between 7 and 8 o'clock on Sunday night. Thomas Edwards, the landlord, denied the statement in toto, but confessed that he gave those parties a quart of ale, for they said that they were obliged to be there all night watching some cattle. The Bench said they were afraid that these things occur very often in this house but as the defendant promised not to repeat the offence, they would only fine him 5s and costs.
